Carleton University is an independent and cooperative institution with the mission of providing disciplinary and interdisciplinary teaching, study, and research, the creation and dissemination of knowledge, the involvement of its students in experiential learning at home and abroad, and the enhancement of its community. 

Carleton University offers opportunities for hands-on learning outside of the classroom or lab. Eligibility

Eligibility Countries: All Students from African countries are eligible.

Eligibility Subjects: Undergraduate degree in any subject area offered by the university is eligible.

Criteria for Eligibility: Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be considered:

  • You must be an African country's citizen.
  • You must be an international student with a valid Study Permit to study in Canada.
  • You must be a full-time student at Carleton University who is successfully progressing from one year to the next in any program of study.
  • You must have a good academic record.

Documentation For the Scholarship: The candidates are required to submit the following documents:

  • Copy of all post-secondary transcripts
  • A statement of intent
  • CV/Resume
  • A portfolio
  • A sample writing
  • Citizenship proof
  • Admission Requirements: The admission average will be calculated using the highest level of all 9 academic subjects taken.
    The prerequisites must be completed in grade 11 or 12.
  • Offers will be finalized once final grades and an official graduation certificate are received. China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center should verify the graduation certificate (CHESICC).

Language Requirements: Candidates must meet the following English language proficiency standards: 

  • Canadian Academic English Language Test – 70 (Minimum 60 in each band)
  • TOEFL -86 (20 in reading and listening, and 22 in speaking writing)
  • IELTS – 6.6 ( Minimum 6.0 in each band)
  • PTE – 60 overall ( Minimum 60 in each Communicative skill)

Benefits

Each successfull candidate will recieve the award amount of $10,000 to complete their studies in Canada.
