The Hungarian Government is inviting applications for the Hungarian International Diaspora Scholarships Programme. We aim to help increase intellectual and cultural contacts between Hungary and those who left their country during or after the 1956 Revolution and have ties with Hungary now. The Hungarian Government wants to attract young adults who are talented, hardworking and ambitious for a better future for Hungary in the international arena and in cultural exchange with other countries. The scholarship program develops cooperation between universities, scientific research institutions and public administrations from Hungary and other countries within the European Union (EU), Austria, and Norway.

The Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship is a scholarship program established by the Hungarian Government for students living in a Hungarian diaspora outside of Europe who wish to pursue higher education at a Hungarian higher education institution in order to develop their personal, professional, and cultural ties to Hungary. It also helps scholarship holders progress professionally by providing them with high-quality Hungarian higher education, which allows them to serve their community once they return home after graduation.
