Plateau state is known for her rich cultural heritage. heck, its the home of peace and tourism. This tourism span to our rich cultural heritage like the Nzem Berom, Tarok day, our food, dress, music, etc not just our beautiful landscape and weather.

The state has over forty ethnic groups.

Farmers make up the majority of these ethnic groups, and their cultural and traditional lifestyles are similar.

Some of the indigenous tribes in the state are the Berom, Afizere, Amo, Anaguta, Aten, Bogghom, Buji, Challa, Chip, Fier, Gashish, Goemai, Irigwe, Jarawa, Jukun, Kofyar (comprising Doemak, Kwalla, and Mernyang), Montol, Mushere, Mupun, Mwaghavul, Ngas, Piapung, Pyem, Ron-Kulere, Bache, Talet, Tarok (Taroh), Youm and Fulani/Kanuri in Wase.

On this article I will be listing the Traditional rulers of most of this tribes that are found in Plateau State.
