DALUNG ASSURES LANGTANG SOUTH COMMUNITY ON RECONSTRUCTION OF COLLAPSED TANK. By TN Timkat.
The Former Minister of Youth and Sports, Barrister Solomon Selcap Dalung (Igbarman Otarok) paid a condolence visits to his community in Mabudi Langtang South on the collapsed of Overhead Tank that injured 2 persons and lost of a two year old baby. Mr. Dalung who was accompanied by Hon Nanman Darko, Former Chairman Langtang South Local Government Council; commensurates with the traditional council, families of the victims and entire community over the sad incident .
"Today, I am here to sympartize with my people over the sad incident that happened last week which resulted to lost of life and injuries to two persons ". The project was brought to serve our communities but we experienced accident which is disheartening and embarrassing ". I have informed the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and they have taken action by directing the contractor to immediately reconstruct another Water Tank Overhead to ensure continuity in supplying Portable Water to our people ". Dalung explained.
While receiving the former minister, there was relief of hope from the community as he Dalung assured residents on Reconstruction of the Collapsed tank as soon as possible.
" I want to assure you that the Federal Government will ensure reconstruction of the collapsed tank. " Last week I was with the Minister of Water Resources, Engineer Suleiman Adamu Kazaure and he assured me of the Ministry commitment to provide lasting solution to Water Scarcity in Langtang South ". The Federal Government sent in their condolences to you and has directed the Contractor to take action immediately ". While investigation is ongoing to ascertained the remorse caused of the incident ". He said
While paying tribute to the deceased, Mr. Dalung expressed his commitment in bringing meaningful development to his community. " I will never relent in bringing meaningful development to our community. We have been left behind for over donkey years without visible Government projects but today in Langtang South I have brought 3 keys projects and two were fully completed ". The Water Treatment Plant Project will be completed in no distance time to enable our people access quality Water supply. He said.
