The Tarok people have a hierarchy of classification just like any other tribe, from the clan(Akum), we have the Ichor (Household) and the Lineage which is the family and and relations.
In the Tumwat community, same hierarchy of classification is followed to the later. But to this day, there is a story going on about a family whose lineage has disappeared among the Tumwat people. I can't tell if it's Legend or myth but the lesson from the the story is worth taking into cognizance.
GAD is a relative of KARIM and it is told that he had great number of children and livestock. He is so blessed that his children never die, and grown up to be great men and women. infact, the entirety of his village is death proof, no one dies.
His relative and other nearby villagers always sent him news of their beloved ones passing on and he with his family will go by to visit and condole the bereaved family.
This continues for a very long time and it was so frustrating to him that no one has ever come to his place to greet him for the loss of his love ones ( I don't know if that is the right word to used, since they are your love ones why wish them dead over your cravings for greetings from other families?) so he plot with his family and killed a lizard, gave the lizard a befitting burial. So he sent message to his neighbors about the loss of his son.
This is mockery to the death and to the God who blessed him with health and wellness, after this very ordeal, it was said that his family start to die one after the other till there family was wiped out of the surface of the earth.
Their is a Hill called ICIL where it was said, before they met their final moment, they stood side by side round this hill. To this day, the Hill is still standing there for anyone who may want to go see for themselves.
Why you most visit Langtang this Christmas.
What do you think? Is it legend or Myth? We leave that for you to judge and share the lesson(s) you learned from the story with us in our comment section.
