Suggestion how marriage system should be carried out in our land

The idea of Introduction and how is carried out in our land today is frau, seriously, we need to start changing how marriages are done in TaroklandThe parents of the bride should have the sole right to decide what the groom brings to marry their daughter.
All these distant relatives; uncles, grand uncles and great grand uncles that have never contributed anything to the life of the bride and would never do anything for her even if she asks, would come during her marriage and try to put her in a marriage full of debt with outrageous demands.
I was in a marriage ceremony recently and you needed to see how this man was shouting "this one never complete, this never complete, this one never complete... you must complete everything". The bride out of anger didn't know when she shouted, "uncle wetin you don ever give me for this life? Mention one and I would ask my husband to be to pay double of everything requested to you alone".... The man was just there standing out of shock and couldn't find any word to reply.
My point, parents should have the sole right to demand what is brought as bride price, after all in the Bible, it is the parents that say bring 20 sheep, or serve me for 7 years and not the kinsmen.
I stand with my sister that said ladies should speak up for their husband to be or stand to go into marriages in debt.
